In warm weather, I sometime still paint silk scarves. It is much like a daily practice, like writing in a journal, or meditating. It starts out as a white scarf, a blank slate that can become anything.
I usually paint what I have recently seen, what is on my mind; the iris that are blooming, the bird at the feeder, the cranes in the fields. I put images on both ends so the imagery can be seen when the scarf is worn.
